Your F-Pace is Waiting at Your Local Jag Dealer
The F-Pace is possibly the best looking crossover we've seen in several years. Not only that, it's exceptionally affordable, considering the fact that it's a luxury vehicle. A Jaguar that is based on the F-Type and costs around $40,000 seemed unthinkable, but it's here!
Engine Configurations
- 2.0L 180hp Turbo Diesel
- 3.0L 340hp or 380hp V6
One of Jaguar's latest initiatives appears to be offering two options, mainstream sport capability and an alternative option that is more efficient. This is why the F-Pace and XE both have diesel engines and gas engines available. We like the options. You have your choice between fuel efficiency and an engine that reaches 60mph in 5.1 seconds, while both give you that Jaguar luxury feel.
Performance Features
- All Surface Progress Control (ASPC)
- Adaptive Surface Response (ASR)
- Standard, ECO, Dynamic and Rain/Ice/Snow Driving Modes
- Torque Vectoring by Braking (TVbB)
- Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS)
- Adaptive Dynamics
- Aluminum Intensive Architecture
All these features and a suspension system that offers a balance between agility and comfort makes the F-Pace a vehicle that will compete on the track but is also great for your daily commute and errands. 33.5 cubic feet of cargo space and 40:20:40 folding rear seats are beneficial as well.
Interior
You'd expect an exceptional interior in a Jaguar and that's exactly what you get with the F-Pace. The entire cockpit has a sturdy, refined look. Leather tops the dash and seats and the traditional cylindrical speedometers look great. The Sport trim is a little more "busy" than the quieter luxury trim, Sport having dual-color seats. One feature we really like is the F-Pace's mood lighting, which can be set to any of 10 colors. Another great feature is the panoramic roof, which is treated with UV protective tinting.
The Verdict
All of the great inclusions above would almost seem enough to justify a $40K price tag. There's more to the F-Pace, though. It comes with all of the infotainment technology you'd expect of a modern car as well as safety features like Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitoring, Traffic Sign Recognition with Intelligent Speed Limiter, Blind Spot Monitor with Closing Vehicle Sensing, Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Surround Camera System and more. It's really difficult to find a way to put this vehicle down. It just has so much to offer for a very reasonable price!
